After remaining largely stable with minor fluctuations, the price has once again dropped due to limited buyer interest. Today, the price of Polyvinyl Alcohol in Mumbai fell by Rs.3/kg, moving from Rs.175/kg to Rs.172/kg. Market sources indicate that sellers are currently offering the product at discounted rates, driven by the sluggish pace of bookings from buyers. As a result, the overall market sentiment has weakened further. Last six month market trend: According to market sources, PVC was priced at Rs.192/kg in the last week of October 2024. However, subdued demand pushed prices downward, reaching Rs.182/kg by the last week of December. Despite the overall decline, the market remained steady at intervals during this period. A brief price recovery was recorded starting 13 January, when the price increased from Rs.182/kg to Rs.188/kg by 23 January, supported by short-term buying interest. Afterward, the market showed only minimal fluctuations up until the last week of March.
