Elevate Your Career as a VMC Setter Apply Today Job Description Primary Task: To accurately set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce high-quality parts according to engineering specifications and production schedules. Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine setup requirements. Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces on the VMC. Load and verify CNC programs into the VMC control system. Operate the VMC to produce parts according to specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Required Abilities: Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and practices. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Ability to use measuring tools and gauges (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code).
