Enter Work as a VMC Setter on Our High Precision Unit Job Description The VMC Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality control. Responsibilities Install and run Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) in accordance with engineering specifications and drawings. Workpieces should be loaded and unloaded with careful alignment and secure fixturing. Install and modify cutting equipment, such as taps, end mills, and drills. As necessary, make program modifications and tool offsets. Use measuring tools (such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges) to confirm measurements and tolerances. Skills: demonstrated expertise in a VMC Setter or related position. strong knowledge of the concepts and procedures of CNC machining. ability to read and comprehend technical requirements and drawings. Capacity to use measurement tools, such as gauges, micrometres, and callipers. familiarity with program modifications and tool offsets.
