To make Gujarat textile units globally competitive, I am making a provision of ₹2000 crore in this budget to provide various assistance through the Gujarat Textile Policy implemented by the State Government. To promote self-employment in the cottage industry sector, it has been decided to increase the loans available in the industrial, service and trade sectors in urban and rural areas under the “Vajpayee Bankable Scheme” by ₹25 lakh and the subsidy amount by ₹3 lakh 75 thousand. I propose a provision of ₹480 crore by increasing the provision of this scheme by 100%.  | |
