The founder and CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, stated that the company's rapid meal delivery app Bistro is not a "private label" and will not compete with eateries in an effort to reassure food aggregators and trade groups. He told Zomato's restaurant partners via email that Bistro is a different app and that its menus are crafted using publicly available data. "The Bistro team does not have access to information that might lead to an unfair competitive environment. In actuality, Zomato Trends makes all Zomato data and insights accessible to the public and all restaurant partners," he stated. The email was seen by "Business Standard."  | |
