Past sin only! | |
“First”, please read and study this post completely before you send me your comments. This is a KJV Bible study guide; please print this out and use it. Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [For the remission of sins that are “past”, not future sin. Check out the definition of this word “past” in a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Word # G4266 is Greek word, proginomai, pronounced prog-in'-om-ahee, from 4253 and 1096; to be already, i.e. have previousy transpired:--be past]. 2 Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [Purged from “old” sins, not future sins. Very clear to me]. Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. [Many believers will tell you that even future sin is forgiven; no need to repent again. These and other verses such as Acts 8:18-22 and 1 John 1:6-10 show us that God says otherwise. Who do you choose to believe, God or another human? I truly hope you choose to believe God]. I would like to ask you some questions: *What is still in the world once you are forgiven? Answer: Your flesh body and worldly temptations are still there. Can you deny that? I don't think so. *If you fall short in the future, do you honestly believe God gives you a pass? Answer: Not according to the above verses. * How can you be cleansed of sin if you’re actively involved in the act of sin? I would like to hear your answer. Also, see Galatians 2:17. Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (That famine for hearing the Word of the Lord is upon us now. People are starving for the truth in the Word. Sadly, fairy tales, false teachings, traditions and commandments of men, idle words, are all that are taught in most churches today. You can overcome the famine by actually studying the word of God yourself; what a concept). By studying the Bible yourself you will discover amazing things that, sadly, you will never hear while sitting in a church pew. How do you get people to come to your church? Read the following two verses. By actually teaching the word of God! Acts 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Sadly, according to Amos 8:11 above, you more than likely will not hear the word of God today in your church. Most churches today (2024+) are only Sunday social clubs. If you hear anything it will probably be the traditions and commandments of men which make void the word of God. I would hope this encourages you to study your Bibles some more and add to what you have learned up to this point. Please reply. | |
