Ensure a Safe Work Environment as Safety Officer Role Job Description Responsibilities Create and carry out safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with national, state, and local laws. To find and fix dangerous situations and equipment, conduct routine safety audits and inspections. Examine mishaps and incidents to identify root causes and suggest remedies Create and implement safety training initiatives for staff members, encompassing onboarding and continuous education. Give staff advice and assistance on matters pertaining to safety. Work together with management and other departments to make sure safety procedures are incorporated into all operations and procedures. Skills & Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards and other relevant local, state, and federal safety laws. - Experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, and investigations. - Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence employees and management on safety-related matters. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Certification in occupational safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
