It seems backwards!

It definitely seems backwards! It seems there is evil everywhere today. We all wrestle with the difficult age-old questions, “Why do the wicked prosper?” and “Why do the righteous suffer?” It is especially hard when you have done right and you get penalized, while the person that did wrong got ahead. You were praying and counting on God’s promises, but things did not turn out the way you had expected. It seems as if God did not even hear your prayers. But the guy who scoffs at God is doing great or so it appears. You begin to wonder, “Why follow God when all I get are trials? If there is a God of justice in heaven, why doesn’t He do something about all the injustice in the world? Is it worth it to follow the Lord?”

Psalms 37:1 (KJV) "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, Neither be thou envious against workers of iniquity."
It seems like people always say that the bad and sinners always come out on top. Well, they don't; Father is telling you, "Don't worry, they will not come out on top." They will get everything that they deserve. God knows every evil act and word that they have done and said toward others; their evil deeds are recorded in heaven. There will be a day of accountability. Don't fret about those evil-doers for God is going to tell us what is going to happen to them; and what is going to happen to you in this Psalm.
Psalms 37:2 (KJV) "For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb."
Next time you mow the lawn, you can see how each blade of grass is cut down to conform to the rest of the blades of grass in your lawn. God has His way of taking that blade of grass (wicked person) that seems to get ahead, and cuts that person down to size. When you clip off that blade of grass and the hot sun hits those sheared off tops, they then whither away to nothing. That is exactly what will happen to the evildoers, even though for a period of time it appears that they get away with their evil acts.
Psalms 37:3 (KJV) "Trust in the Lord, and do good; So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed."
When it appears that the evil doers are on top, this is your answer to the problem. Trust in the Lord and do good, stay focused on His Word. As you study the Word you will continue to be fed with the truth. That is what will bring the victory to you and cause you to prosper in your life. So what is the condition to have the prosperity? "Trust in the Lord, and do good." When you trust, or have faith in the Lord, He will feed you with the wisdom of His Word.
All of Psalm 37 speaks to us about this topic of “It seems the wicked prosper”. Just to let you know, the wicked do not prosper. Please study the entire 37th Psalm and see for yourself.
There is much written on this matter in God’s Word. God knows that many of us would have these thoughts; He knows our hearts. Please study and learn what the right response is to these types of thoughts; put your trust in God. He has a plan for you even though it may look otherwise; trust in His timing.
Remember, we get exactly what we ask for!

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

(You can't fool God. You will reap what you sow. Do good and good things will happen to you. Do evil and expect trouble coming your way. See Jeremiah 17:9-10 also).

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

(If you only seek to please your flesh you will reap a harvest of spiritual decay and spiritual death. But, if you seek out and sincerely try to follow Christ's doctrine from the Word of God, then you will reap everlasting life. Feed your spirit, not your fleshly, sinful desires).
