In 2006, the Chinese Government initiated the admission of international students to medical programs conducted in English at Chinese universities. This paved the way for students to pursue their MBBS degree in China. Over the years, especially since 2013, studying MBBS in China has gained significant popularity among Indian students. To uphold quality standards, certain medical schools in China are allocated specific quotas for admitting international students to these English-language programs. While other Chinese medical universities have the option to accept international students, the Government stipulates that these students must enroll in medical programs conducted in Chinese. This situation led to a challenge as many agents began sending Indian students to China for the Chinese Medicine Program (TCM) without providing adequate information beforehand. | |
