With a substantial production capacity of 67,000 Metric Tons Per Annum (MTPA), GNFC holds a significant stake in the domestic TDI market, boasting a production ratio of 80:20.TDI finds extensive application in the manufacturing processes of flexible polyurethane foam, a material widely used across various industries. Given its pivotal role in the production chain, any alteration in TDI pricing can have ripple effects throughout the supply chain, influencing the cost and availability of numerous downstream products Furthermore, the pricing dynamics of TDI are intricately linked to the cost of its raw material, toluene, which is supplied by BPCL, another key player in the chemical industry. Interestingly, while the ex-work rate of TDI has seen an upward revision, the cost of toluene has experienced a decline, potentially impacting the profit margins of TDI manufacturers.there was a slight downturn in the price of TDI, with the rate decreasing by Re. 1/kg in Ahmedabad market, bringing it down from Rs. 201/kg to Rs. 200/kg.
