Liquid alkali prices on the domestic market have been steadily declining since January 20th, owing mostly to a glut of supply exceeding local demand. In Delhi, this drop has been compounded by increased supply. According to Indian Petrochem sources, the increased trend in Liquid alkali pricing is expected to continue in the coming days. The prices of the commodity fell last week, but have stabilized in recent days. Between January 18th and 21st, prices were rather stable. However, from 22nd January till 6th, the prices of liquid alkali have gone up. After talking to the market, it has come to light that the prices of liquid alkali may remain down for some time because the supply of liquid alkali has reduced. Today domestic prices in Delhi rose by Rs.30/kg on February 09, 2024. The concentrated solution of sodium chloride is the raw material for the Liquid alkali process. The concentrated sodium chloride solution is electrolyzed in this electrolysis procedure. This process involves the manufacture of chlorine, hydrogen, and sodium hydroxide(NaOH) solutions. | |
